Pompey Sports & Education Foundation will be launching a new apprenticeship programme for 16-18 year olds who are not currently in education, employment or training.
The 24-week course will provide an excellent opportunity for young people to gain qualifications.
Students who participate in the Programme Lead Apprenticeship will study for their Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Activity Leadership, as well as Level 2 Award in increasing participation in Sport and Active Leisure in Community Settings, Level 1 Functional English, Level 1 Functional Maths and Level 2 Award in Employment Awareness in Active Leisure & Learning.
It will also provide volunteering and coaching opportunities.
The course will begin later this month and is based at the Pompey Study Centre.
