Portsmouth Football Club are making contact with all PFCTV subscribers in relation to a communication sent out by Portsmouth LiveTV, the company responsible for running the service.
This communication misinformed subscribers about the reasons for the suspension of the service.
The suspension of PFCTV is solely the fault of Portsmouth LiveTV, who have been unable to fulfil their obligations to provide the service because of a funding shortfall.
Portsmouth Football Club provided support for Portsmouth LiveTV and only intervened once Portsmouth LiveTV stopped providing the service.
PFCTV subscribers signed up and paid their monies to Portsmouth LiveTV, who owe a significant sum of money to Portsmouth Football Club as part of an agreed revenue share on subscription fees.
The suspension of the service is unconnected to financial issues relating to the administration of Portsmouth Football Club’s parent company, as implied in Portsmouth LiveTV’s communication to subscribers.
We are currently working on building a replacement Pompey video and matchday commentary service, run in-house to give supporters the quality of coverage they deserve.
We will keep you informed of developments about the launch of the new service which we are working to get online as soon as possible and once again apologise for the inconvenience and disappointment caused.
