Pompey have added four more players to their squad.
Defenders Yassin Moutaouakil and Sam Sodje have both penned one-month deals at Fratton Park.
Sunderland midfielder Adam Reed and versatile Crawley star Shaun Cooper have also arrived on month-long loan deals.
The deals are all subject to FA and Football League clearance.
Caretaker Blues boss Guy Whittingham said: “Sam is someone with plenty of experience and he can pass that on to the younger players in the side.
“Adam comes highly recommended by Kevin Ball, has played at this level before and will bring us plenty of energy.
“Our physio Steve Allen knew Yassin when he was at Charlton and so was aware what a good player he is. We invited him down so we could have a look and were delighted with what we saw.
“And it’s also nice to see Shaun back at Pompey – he’ll know exactly what’s required here.”
Cooper, 29, is a product of the Blues youth system, who is comfortable in defence or midfield.
He played seven times for Pompey before being allowed to join Bournemouth in 2005.
Cooper signed for Crawley in the summer following a seven-year spell with the Cherries that saw him make 240 appearances.
Reed, 21, has come through the ranks at Sunderland. He has yet to play for the Black Cats first team, but has gained experience on loan at Brentford, Bradford and Leyton Orient.
Nigeria international Sodje, 33, has played for a host of English clubs, including Stevenage, Brentford, Reading and Notts County.
Former France under-21 skipper Moutaouakil, 26, has previously played for Charlton and Hayes & Yeading and had a trial with Pompey in the summer of 2009.
Meanwhile, teenage defender Alex Grant has joined Havant & Waterlooville on loan for a month.
