The Sun and The Football League are giving fans the chance to get closer to the action and get behind their team as the ‘Footie with a Friend’ promotion returns, giving supporters another chance to save on ticket prices.
Yet again this season, The Sun carries more coverage of League football than any other newspaper, including regular opinion and analysis from all-round football expert – and former Pompey star – Chris Kamara, match reports, pictures, quotes and ratings on every single match.
The paper’s latest deal launches on Saturday and will bring readers even closer to the action by offering bargain footie tickets to Blues fans for the following matches:
Pompey v Ipswich – Tuesday, February 14 (7.45pm kick-off)
Pompey v Middlesbrough – Saturday, March 3 (3pm kick-off)
Pompey v Bristol City – Saturday, March 17 (3pm kick-off)
Fans can buy two adult tickets in the Milton End (Ridgeway Group (North) Stand upper wings for Ipswich match) for just £19.50. Additional adult tickets cost £9.50 and additional junior tickets are £5.
Readers just have to collect four differently numbered tokens printed in The Sun from Saturday, January 28 to Monday, February 6.
Tickets can only be bought in person at the ticket office in Frogmore Road or by post (enclosing a stamped addressed envelope and method of payment). They must be bought at least 48 hours before kick-off. The Sun vouchers must be included with your application. This offer is not available online or by phone.
Postal applications should be sent to: Ticket Office, Portsmouth Football Club, Fratton Park, Frogmore Road, Portsmouth, PO4 8RA.
The offer gives fans access to 87 matches from February 4 until April 14, involving 59 npower Championship, League One and League Two clubs and has over 100,000 tickets available.
Sun columnist Kamara said: “The day of your first football match always lives long in the memory, so The Sun has teamed up with The Football League to offer cheap tickets to your local club. Even if it’s not your first match it’s a brilliant offer, so collect your tokens now!”
Full details of the promotion will be available in the Saturday, January 28 edition of The Sun.
