Pompey Academy picked up a point against Norwich in their final game before the Christmas break.
Both sides created chances at Bognor's Nyewood Lane ground, but neither were able to break the deadlock.
Canaries centre-back Kyle McFadden was sent off late in the game, receiving a second booking for a foul on Andy Higgins.
It is the second goalless draw between the sides this season, following their Norfolk stalemate back in October.
Academy manager Andy Awford said: “There might not have been any goals, but it was a very entertaining 0-0 draw.
“Norwich were quicker out of the blocks and dominated the first 15-20 minutes, but were unable to take any of their opportunities.
“We settled as the half progressed and began to take control, creating quite a few chances of our own.
“But there was nothing between the sides in the second half. Both looked a bit leggy following recent league and cup exploits.
“There were still chances, however, and it’s just frustrating that we were unable to get that all important goal.
“But at least we weren’t beaten ahead of a three-week break. The boys will now go home for Christmas and come back fresh in a couple of weeks ready for the second half of the season,”
Pompey are next in league action on January 7 when they travel to Ipswich, before hosting Southampton seven days later.
They also have an FA Youth Cup clash against Swansea at Fratton Park – which must be played before January 21 – to look forward to.
