Sam Magri has been selected in the England under-18 squad to play a friendly in Slovakia on November 16.
The 17-year-old Pompey defender was part of the Three Lions side that were knocked out by Germany in the quarter-finals of the under-17 World Cup over the summer.
Blues academy manager Andy Awford said: “We’re delighted for Sam. It’s great that he’s managed to maintain his place in the England squad.
“He’s had a few injuries this season and missed some games for us, but he’s fighting fit now and playing international football will only aid his progress as a player.”
