Lewis Stockford has joined non-league Salisbury City on a month-long loan.
The 18-year-old Academy product has yet to make his competitive debut for Pompey’s first team.
But the midfielder starred in the Blues’ pre-season matches and last month travelled out to Spain with the first team squad and played 70 minutes of the 5-1 friendly defeat to Real Betis.
Now a first-year professional, Stockford has been at Fratton Park for eight years, steadily rising through the ranks after starting out in Pompey’s under-11 side. He was awarded a one-year professional deal in May.
Salisbury currently compete in the Conference South and are lying fourth in the table after seven matches.
