Pompey saw their winning run come to an end with a 2-1 defeat to Peterborough at London Road.

Both sides struck the woodwork in a first half that otherwise failed to provide many clear-cut chances.

But it was the hosts who broke the deadlock after the interval, as Jack Marriott converted Marcus Maddison's delivery.

A free-kick from Maddison was then headed into his own net by Matt Clarke to double Posh's advantage.

Substitute Conor Chaplin did manage to reduce the deficit, but the Blues could not find a late leveller.
