Fantastic benefits for younger fans
Pompey are delighted to announce the launch of the 'Junior Blues' for the 2016/17 campaign.
The membership scheme for our younger fans (17 and under) – which was known as Nelson’s Crew last season – has a host of fantastic benefits.
These include:
- Exclusive pack full of Pompey goodies
- Visit to the club’s training ground
- Free entry to Pompey Ladies matches
- Discounts on Pompey in the Community coaching courses
- Opportunity to be a matchday mascot
- And plenty more to be confirmed!
All of this is available for just £20 and coincides with changes that are being made to the Family Section, which will now become known as ‘Nelson’s Family Zone’.
This forms part of an overall effort by the club, Pompey in the Community (PitC) and the Pompey Supporters’ Trust (PST) to engage with younger fans and attract more to Fratton Park.
Junior Blues ambassador Conor Chaplin said: “Having grown up with Portsmouth Football Club, the Junior Blues scheme is something I can really relate to.
“The excitement and anticipation about receiving the pack and all of its goodies is something that a lot of younger fans will hopefully appreciate and I’m looking forward to seeing the members throughout the season.”
Adam Lea, Pompey in the Community’s commercial and marketing manager, added: “With Portsmouth Football Club, the PST and PitC coming together to utilise their range of expertise, the quality of this new membership package should be viewed as a positive move.
“All three organisations recognise the importance of the next generation of Pompey fans, and the contribution they can make to the future of great club is something we wanted to address.”
The Junior Blues scheme is set to launch on July 15, with members able to pick up their packs from the first game of the season against Carlisle.
