Plymouth snatch last-gasp winner
Pompey were unable to convert a dominant display into any points as they were beaten by a last-gasp Plymouth goal at Furze Lane.
“There were plenty of positives for us to take. Conor was a constant threat, while Kaleem Haitham showcased plenty of trickery.
“They’ll be disappointed not to win the game, although results aren’t everything at this level – it’s more about developing players to eventually get into Andy’s first team.
“But we didn’t take any of them and it’s a big learning curve for the lads. They’ve found out that football can be a cruel game if you don’t make the most of those opportunities.
“We created a phenomenal amount of chances and probably should have been four or five goals ahead at the break. : Academy coach Mikey Harris said
But the Pilgrims levelled when a corner was converted before securing all three points through a superb volley in the dying seconds.
