Former Wales international joins Blues
Andy Melville has joined Pompey as head of player recruitment.
The former Swansea, Oxford, Sunderland, Fulham and West Ham defender – who was capped 65 times by Wales – spent five years working as first team coach at Oxford before departing last summer.
Blues boss Andy Awford said: “I’m delighted to welcome Andy on-board and look forward to working closely with him.
“The recruitment area is something we highlighted that needed strengthening and he will head up that department.
“It adds to the structure we have here at Pompey and means another vitally important building block is now in place.”
Meanwhile, midfielder Nick Awford has left the club by mutual consent and signed for Havant & Waterlooville.
