AWFORD SUPPORTS POMPEY LOTTERY

30 April 2014

Boss gets behind new scheme

Pompey caretaker boss Andy Awford has signed up for the Pompey Lottery – and is urging fans to do likewise.

The member-only scheme was successfully launched at Fratton Park on Tuesday night at Fratton Park and nearly 200 fans have already signed up.

For just £2 per week, supporters become members of the lottery and can win cash and money-can’t-buy prizes, as well as gaining a number of guaranteed benefits, including free entry to FA Youth Cup matches at Fratton Park.

Our weekly jackpot starts at £1,000 and, if it isn't won, rolls over by £250 each week, plus there are lots of smaller cash prizes up for grabs.

There is also an annual jackpot draw where one lucky winner will 'Win a grand a month for 12 months' – a total of £12,000. The winner will be drawn on the pitch at the first game of next season.

The money-can’t-buy prizes include a ‘Director for the Day’ experience and a chance to appear in the 2014/15 Pompey team photo.

After costs and prize money, the proceeds will go towards supporting youth player development at the club.

Awford said: “This is a fantastic idea which I fully support. Young players are very important to this club and I am sure fans will, like me, want to sign up for this lottery to ensure the club has extra resources to invest in our future.

“It is an affordable scheme, which offers some great prizes and I am sure it will appeal to every Pompey fan.”
