Keeper interviewed in Northampton programme
Pompey fans are already gearing up for their play-off double-header with Plymouth.
But first up is the small matter of facing League Two champions Northampton at Fratton Park in the final match of the regular season.
There is little at stake for either side, although the Blues still wait to find out whether they will be at home for the first or second leg.
Brian Murphy understands that supporters will be excited about what lies ahead, although he is currently only focused on the Cobblers.
“We’ve got to get it right against Northampton and try to finish in fifth position so we’re at home in the second game,” says the keeper in the official matchday magazine for Saturday’s clash.
“Fans obviously want to dream about Wembley already and that’s now the ultimate aim, but I’m personally not looking too far ahead.
“At the moment I’m not even thinking about Plymouth – it’s all about this fixture.
“We want to produce another decent performance because our form at the moment is quite impressive.
“It’s always nice to build a bit of momentum, even if form tends to go out of the window in the play-offs.”
