Defender interviewed in Boxing Day programme
It’s always a special day in the football calendar.
And Matt Fish is looking forward to taking on AFC Wimbledon at Fratton Park on Boxing Day.
The on-loan Gillingham right-back is a fan of festive matches – even if does mean watching what he eats and drinks.
“I enjoy Christmas football,” he says in the official matchday magazine for the AFC Wimbledon clash. “But last year I wasn’t involved in it because I was injured.
“But you’ve got to look after yourself a bit more because the games are closer together and the pitches aren’t amazing at this time of year.
“I’m glad we’re at home because I’m sure the Boxing Day atmosphere will be extra special and we know there will be another large crowd at Fratton Park.”
