Title-winning skipper for end-of-season event
Pompey legend Paul Merson will be guest speaker at the club’s end-of-season gala dinner at Fratton Park.
The 2003 Division One championship winner has a stack of stories from his time with the Blues, as well as a glittering career which also took in Arsenal, Aston Villa and England.
The event will take place in the Victory Lounge on Sunday, May 4 (7.30pm-12am) – the day after the final game of the season against Plymouth.
A basic package consisting of a table of ten is available for just £500 and will include a three-course sit-down meal and commemorative programme.
Caretaker manager Andy Awford and his playing and coaching staff will be in attendance and there will also be a cash bar and an auction for a number of money-can’t-buy items.
The club is also offering a special ‘sponsorship’ deal for £1,500 which will add in:
- complimentary beer, house wine and soft drinks
- a player at your table
- recognition in the commemorative programme
- exclusive signed photo opportunity with the manager
- half-page advert in the Plymouth programme
- signed, framed first team shirt
Club spokesman Colin Farmery said: “This promises to be an excellent evening. We are sure tickets will sell fast, so make sure you snap yours up quickly.”
