No bye for Blues
Pompey have missed out on a first round bye in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
Paul Cook’s side will now take their place in the draw, which is screened live on Soccer AM at approximately 10.15am on Saturday.
The Blues are in the south-west section and will face either AFC Wimbledon, Barnet, Exeter, Newport, Plymouth, Swindon or Yeovil.
Round one ties will be played in the week commencing August 31.
Pompey were 3-1 victors at Yeovil in last season’s completion, but were beaten at home by Northampton at the second stage.
