Former Blue passes away
Portsmouth Football Club are mourning the death of former Blues midfielder Valery Mezague.
The French-born Cameroon international has passed away at the age of just 30.
Mezague joined Pompey from Montpellier in the summer of 2004 and made a total of 11 appearances in his season on the south coast.
He later played for Sochaux, Chateauroux, Vannes, Panetolikos and Bury and was turning out for French side Sporting Toulon Var this season.
Everyone at Pompey would like to send their deepest condolences to Valery’s family and friends.
