Fixtures released for 2015/16 campaign
Pompey will start the 2015/16 season with a home match against Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday, August 8.
After taking on Derby in the Capital One Cup, Paul Cook’s side will then visit Plymouth for their first away test.
The first midweek league fixture on August 18 is a kind one for the Blues, with a short trip to Sussex to take on recently relegated Crawley.
But plenty of fans will baulk at the sight of away matches against Exeter and York that have also been scheduled for Tuesday nights.
Pompey visit Northampton on the weekend before Christmas and are also on their travels on Boxing Day, when they will face Leyton Orient.
But the Blues will see out 2015 and welcome in 2016 on their own patch, with back-to-back home games against Luton on December 28 and Crawley on January 2.
There are, once again, two fixtures over the Easter weekend with Notts County coming to Fratton before a trip to AFC Wimbledon.
Pompey’s final away match is a mammoth trek to Hartlepool on April 30 and the season ends at home to Northampton on May 7.
