Plenty of travelling for Blues next term

Pompey will rack up more than 8,000 miles on their League Two travels next term.

The addition of Blackpool, Crewe, Doncaster and Grimsby to the fourth tier means that there will be plenty more jaunts north for the Blue Army.

Carlisle remains the longest trek with a round trip of 703 miles, followed by Hartlepool at 660 miles.

There are four more journeys that will see Pompey break the 500-mile barrier – Morecambe (584.8), Blackpool (566.4), Accrington (550.2) and Grimsby (520).

Paul Cook’s side will no longer enjoy comparatively short trips to AFC Wimbledon, Bristol Rovers, Dagenham and Oxford.

Crawley is still the nearest location with a round trip of just 115.4 miles, followed by Wycombe (167.8), Barnet (169.8) and Luton (193.8).
