BEAN AND FISH ARRIVE ON LOAN

21 November 2014

Blues swoop for midfielder and defender

Pompey have signed Marcus Bean and Matt Fish on loan until early January.

Midfielder Bean, 30, arrives from Colchester, while full-back Fish, 25, has signed from Gillingham.

Blues boss Andy Awford said: “They’re two experienced players, who know what is required at this level.

“We’ve had them watched and know what they can do – we hope that they can come straight in and make an impact.”

Bean – who will wear the number 18 shirt – started his career at QPR and went on to play for Blackpool and Brentford.

The Jamaica international joined Colchester in the summer of 2012 and was part of the United side that won at Fratton Park in February 2013.

Fish has been handed the number 27 shirt and came through the ranks at Crystal Palace.

He enjoyed a successful spell with non-league Dover before signing for the Gills and helping them win the League Two title.
