ROBINSON: TARGET HASN'T CHANGED

16 September 2014

Defender interviewed in tonight's programme

A run of three successive league defeats has put the brakes on Pompey’s flying early season form.

The Blues have dropped the 11th in the League Two following losses to Newport, Burton and Southend.

But Paul Robinson’s ambitions have not been dented by that recent run.

The on-loan defender is still targeting promotion come the end of the 2014/15 campaign.

“The manager’s got a very good group together,” he says in the official matchday magazine for tonight’s clash with Dagenham & Redbridge at Fratton Park. “We made a decent start to the season before suffering a little blip.

“That was disappointing after everyone worked so hard to put a run of results together, but we’ll be producing plenty of effort to get another one going.

“I think that everyone’s target is the same – we want to get promoted.

“Whether that’s by finishing in the top three or going through the play-offs we know it won’t be easy, but it’s what we’re all determined to do.”
