Teenagers pen two-year Pompey deals
Pompey have signed six players on two-year apprenticeships.
Conor Chaplin, Chad Field, Lewis Gill, James Granger, Brandon Haunstrup and Fahad Rwakarambwe will now join the club on a full-time basis.
Right-winger Gill and left-back Haunstrup both hail from Waterlooville, while centre-back Field is from Portchester.
Granger – who is comfortable in defence or midfield – and central-midfielder Rwakarambwe come from Southampton and left-sided midfielder Chaplin is from Worthing.
All six of the players are aged 16.
Academy manager Andy Awford said: “All the boys have worked hard to get this far. If they continue to do that then there is every opportunity for them to progress here.”
