Contracts for Field, Haunstrup and Nilsen
Pompey have handed professional contracts to three academy graduates.
Chad Field (above), Brandon Haunstrup and Snorre Nilsen – who are all aged 18 – have signed one-year deals.
Left-back Haunstrup (below) is from Waterlooville, while centre-backs Field and Nilsen hail from Fareham and Norway respectively.
Academy manager Mark Kelly said: “Brandon skippered the youth team last season and really stood out along with Conor Chaplin.
“He got up and down the wing and has really developed going forward, providing consistently good deliveries.
“Snorre (below) and Chad both have the potential to grow as footballers and have improved a lot over the past year.
“They spent time on loan at Bognor last season and had experience of senior football. That may be something we look at again.
“But it’s important that they also work with the players here, so we can see how they develop.”
