Adam Webster has joined Aldershot on loan.
The 18-year-old defender will stay with the Conference Premier side until January.
Blues boss Guy Whittingham said: “It’s a great move for Adam. People might forget he’s only 18 because he’s been around for so long.
“He came on the scene very quickly, but he needs to play games and this provides a great opportunity for him to do just that.
“We’ll go and watch him and keep contact with Aldershot to make sure everything’s okay.
“We’ve got more young players who need football and who we’re thinking about letting go out on loan.”
Webster progressed through the youth ranks at Pompey, making his senior debut from the bench against West Ham in January 2012.
He played 21 times last season and has made a total of 24 first team appearances.
