Formerly Head of Performance Analysis at Wolverhampton Wanderers, Boardman was brought in to head up recruitment at Pompey by former Wolves boss Kenny Jackett at the start of the 2017/18 season.
Boasting a Geography and Sports Science degree qualification, as well as a Masters in Performance Analysis, Boardman spent two years as academy analyst at Molineux between August 2009 and August 2011.
A step up to the first team followed ahead of the 2011/12 season, a position he held until the close of the following campaign.
A restructuring of the football department at the start of 2013/14 saw him chosen to oversee an intergrated analysis department between first team and academy at Wolves before moving to Pompey back in 2017.
