The Pompey shop are looking for enthusiastic sales assistants to join the team and work in their busy store with an immediate start.

No experience is necessary as full training will be given.

We are looking for friendly, outgoing people who are available to work matchdays, which will require working during the game.

If you think this is for you and would like the opportunity to work in a retail environment, then please drop your CV into the store or email

The Pompey Lottery team are recruiting – here are six reasons why you should join their matchday squad!

1. Watch the match for free
That’s right. All sellers who sell one book (50 half-time draw tickets) receive a match ticket, so you can watch the game.

2. Earn commission on all your sales
As well as getting a ticket, you will also receive 10 per cent commission (increasing to 15 per cent if you sell more than 50 tickets*).

3. Boost your CV
Working at Pompey is a great way to improve your CV. Showing prospective employers that you have experience working at a sports venue is sure to get you noticed and, what is more, you will have fun doing it. All of our helpers receive a letter of endorsement from the club.

4. Meet new people
Joining the matchday sales team will allow you to meet like-minded people of all ages and backgrounds. Many of our team have made friends with people who go to the same university, live locally or have similar interests.

5. Develop new skills
You need to enthusiastic, friendly and approachable. You will develop personable communication skills, learn to priorities tasks, time management, teamwork skills and improve your confidence, independence and responsibility.

6. Involvement with Pompey
You get to be involved with the Blues, working with staff from the club and perhaps getting to meet some of your favourite players along the way.

If you are interested in joining the matchday team, please contact Bridget Barnes by emailing or calling (023) 9277 8532.

*Commission capped at 10 per cent if you receive a free match ticket.
