Defender speaks exclusively in matchday programme
Pompey are gearing up for a hectic festive period.
After hosting Wycombe tonight, there are matches against Newport and Bristol Rovers before four games in 10 days around the turn of the year.
So there are plenty of points up for grabs as the Blues try to move away from the bottom half of League Two.
And centre-back Bondz N’Gala believes that just one victory could spark a few more.
“The Christmas period is always vital and it can really mould your season,” he states in the official matchday magazine for tonight’s clash, “so we need to pick up as many wins as possible and start climbing back up that table.
“It’s a peculiar league because we’ve had a few defeats, but our position has barely moved. That shows you how tight this division is.
“We’re confident that things are going to turn around because we’ve got enough quality and I believe it’s only a matter of time before we can get a run of wins together.
“We went six matches unbeaten just over a month ago, so we know what we’re capable and we have to do something similar again.”
You can read the full interview with N’Gala – where he also talks about Pompey’s youthful defence – in tonight’s programme.
Issue 12 is another packed edition with a double-sided pull-out poster, collectable player cards and the latest adventure for Nelson and Mary Rose in our comic strip.
Also in the perfect-bound 84-page publication, Dan Potts discusses his firsts, we take an in-depth look at Wycombe and there are exclusive columns from Johnny Ertl and Alan Knight.
Chairman Iain McInnes also speaks openly about the decision to dismiss Guy Whittingham and the hunt for a new manager in his column.
Plus augmented reality technology – courtesy of our friends at Blippar and Navigate Digital – will bring the programme to life.
Tonight’s matchday magazine is available to buy from programme sellers around Fratton Park and is great value at just £3.
