Young players will use Mountbatten Centre facilities
Pompey’s academy have teamed with Parkwood Community Leisure in a deal that will see the club’s young players training at the Mountbatten Leisure Centre.
Academy manager Andy Awford said: “I’m delighted that we’ve been able to strike this partnership. We’ve worked hard over the last few months to bring the parties together.
“It’s great that our boys will be able to take advantage of the fantastic facilities at the Mountbatten Centre.
“I’m sure it will be a long and fruitful partnership that will be of benefit to both parties.”
Parkwood general manager Danny Churcher added: “The youth academy is very important to the club’s future and we are pleased to be playing a key part in ensuring the young players have access to top quality facilities locally.”
