Fun in the sun at Fratton Park
Everyone at Pompey would like to thank the organisers of Fans’ Day 2013 for staging a magnificent event before Saturday’s friendly against Charlton.
A significant amount of money was raised in order for the Pompey Supporters’ Trust to buy community shares in the club.
The chance to dunk chairman Iain McInnes, director Ashley Brown and engagement manager Micah Hall was part of the wide variety of entertainment on offer.
There were also bouncy castles and live music, while Sondico, the Blues’ official kit supplier, did a roaring trade from their stand.
Pompey’s new away strip was launched as part of the festivities, with plenty of fans praising the innovative Sports Mail sailor watermark.
Engagement manager Micah Hall said: “The day was a fantastic success. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and our house band, the Dickensian Vagabonds, were superb.”
Organiser Tom Dearie said: “The Fans Conference/Pompeys12thMan Fans’ Day was an amazing success.
“I was so pleased to see thousands of Pompey fans enjoying themselves in the sunshine. Thank you to everyone.”
