New Look Pompey Programme

19 July 2013

The first issue with poster and cards is on sale Saturday

We have made plenty of improvements to the Pompey matchday programme for the 2013/14 season.

A two-sided pull-out souvenir poster and collectable player cards are just some of the great features in the 84-page perfect-bound publication.

Pompey engagement manager Micah Hall said: “It is the highest quality matchday programme we have ever produced.

“We have even produced a Nelson and Mary Rose action comic strip drawn by a local artist especially for the kids.”

The first edition of the 2013/14 matchday programme will be a joint production for the Charlton and Rayo Vallecano friendlies.

It also includes a look at Pompey’s new signings, an exclusive interview with Jed Wallace and columns from chairman Iain McInnes, boss Guy Whittingham and skipper Johnny Ertl.

But Hall was quick to point out that there will be even more to enjoy in the future.

He said: “For the Oxford match we will also be unveiling our augmented reality capability, which will allow fans to launch videos from the programme onto their smartphones.

“Many people told us that they don’t notice our sales team, so this season our programme sellers will be wearing backpack flags, courtesy of our sponsors Ridgeway, so they will be much easier to spot among the crowd.”

Despite the boost in quality and increase in pages and content, the programme will still be priced just £3.
