Pompey wish defender all the best for future
Ricardo Rocha will not be returning to Pompey for the 2013/14 campaign.
The club held a series of friendly and open discussions with the Portuguese defender, but the parties could not reach an agreement.
Blues boss Guy Whittingham said: “It would have been fantastic to have added Ricardo to our squad for the new season.
“Myself, the chairman and chief executive have held a series of talks with him over recent months.
“Unfortunately we were unable to finalise a deal, but we wish him all the best for the future.
“Ricardo has served Pompey well over the past few years and it was clear from meeting with him that he still holds a lot of affection for this club.”
The Portuguese defender made 97 appearances for the Blues after arriving at Fratton Park in February 2010.
