Forward hits four past Hawks
Pompey Academy got their pre-season campaign off to a winning start with a 4-1 victory at Havant & Waterlooville.
Bradley Tarbuck was the Hawks’ chief tormentor, scoring all four goals for Paul Hardyman’s side.
His first arrived after just 10 minutes when he cut inside from the left and fired the Blues ahead.
The hosts hit back, though, with Liam Bradbury capitalising on a defensive error to equalise.
But Pompey then broke quickly upfield following a Hawks corner and Conor Chaplin teed-up Tarbuck to restore their advantage.
And the same pair combined again just before the break as Tarbuck completed a first half hat-trick.
There were multiple changes at the interval, but Tarbuck stayed on the pitch and finished the scoring on 66 minutes with a 25-yard free-kick that flew into the top corner.
