Bradley: Now We're Gelling

Defender says Pompey are growing as a team

Pompey have suffered an inconsistent start to the season.

But two victories and a draw in the past week have shown that they are beginning to move in the right direction.

Jed Wallace scored his fourth goal of the season as the Blues came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw at Plymouth.

And Sonny Bradley believes that Pompey’s new signings are finally starting to click.

He said: “We’ve come away with a point and I suppose it’s been a good week with two wins and a draw.

“I think that shows we’re growing as a team and all getting used to playing alongside each other.

“Plymouth played with three at the back and two up top – that’s something we hadn’t come up against this season.

“The first 20 minutes were just about getting used to that, but once we looked good once we sorted that out.

“There was a mistake from Yassin Moutaouakil which led to their goal, but it was good to get back on level terms by half-time.

“He has has held his hand up and said sorry for the error, so we accept that and have to move on.”

Bradley is starting to form a solid partnership with Bondz N’Gala at the heart of Pompey’s defence.

But it was an individual at the other end of the pitch who caught the centre-back’s eye at Home Park.

He said: “How Patrick Agyemang didn’t get man-of-the-match for his performance is beyond me. I thought he looked extremely good.”
