Three new pups to be introduced at Fratton

Nelson and Mary Rose will introduce their new family to the Fratton Park crowd today after Pompey's mascot couple have delivered three pups!

Georgie and Archie-Royal are the canine couple's own daughter and son offspring and the twins will be joined by adopted son, a dalmatian called Ted.

Earlier in the season fans were asked to nominate names for the puppies and in the end Archie-Royal and Georgie were chosen as the most appropriate.

Engagement manager Micah Hall said: “This is an emotional moment for all of us at Pompey. We have been anxiously awaiting their arrival and we are sure fans will give them a warm Pompey welcome.

“Georgie and Archie-Royal were the names suggested which struck us as the most appropriate ones, chiming with the club and city's naval heritage.

“The arrival of adopted dalmatian Ted at the same time is especially exciting for the family. He now has a good home and he is already promising to be a frisky addition to the Pompey family.”

Nelson and Mary Rose will introduce the new pups to the crowd before the Rochdale game at 2.30pm this afternoon.
