Video gives fans a look at new third kit

A promotional video has been released to give fans a closer look at Pompey’s new third strip.

Engagement manager Micah Hall said: “A lorry left Poland on Friday and arrived at Fratton Park at 12.45pm on Saturday with two drivers going non-stop from Eastern Europe to get as many items of the third kit here as we could.

“Owing to a last minute production problem at the factory – where a printing machine malfunctioned – we were left with 350 adult shirts to sell.”

A spokesman for the club’s official merchandise partner Sondico said: “They just flew out – everyone was buying them from middle aged guys to teenagers.”

All 350 of the shirts were snapped up within two hours, leaving many supporters disappointed.

The shirt is the fastest selling to date of the three new kits released this summer.

Sondico anticipate demand being once more difficult to satisfy following the incredibly short lead times they and Pompey were forced to work with in the summer.

Hall added: “Many fans fell in love with the kit when they actually saw it – we are the first to admit that, owing to unforeseen circumstances, we were forced to launch before we were ready and weren't able to put on the sort of slick launch we did for the first two kits. That is something we are determined to put right.”

So Pompey season ticket holder Lindsey Winter volunteered to come down to Fratton Park, determined to help us show fans the fun side of our new kit – with the help of photographer Matt Pantling and a cast of thousands!

Fans can view the video on Pompey Player or on our official YouTube channel.

The new strips will be available soon at Pompey's new store – expected to open soon – and the online shop, priced £34.99 for adults, £24.99 for junior sizes and £19.99 for infants.
