MOMENTUM BUILDING IN FANFUNDING CAMPAIGN

7 August 2014

Target approaching after a bumper Wednesday

Yesterday was a momentous day in the Pompey academy campaign.

Not only did we pass the magical £200,000 landmark, we also saw almost £7,000 donated during the course of the day – double what was raised on Tuesday.

With just four days to go, momentum building and less than £40,000 left to reach the target, confidence is high that the academy will be funded by the end of the campaign.

Following our day of vintage memorabilia – where a signed Jimmy Dickinson souvenir book was auctioned for £325 – we’re now focussing on items from the 2000s.

Our spot rewards over the next 12 hours will include signed footballs and shirts from our Premier League days, as well as an auction for a 2003 replica away shirt signed by Matt Taylor, which will end at 8pm tonight.

We will also include some items from the vintage era, including a signed menu from the Dinner and Dance which kicked off proceedings this morning by selling for £150.

And we have introduced a new big ticket item where you and eight friends can share a table with the Pompey club captain and the end of season dinner. It is available for £2,000 – or just £225 each.

If there are any rewards you are particularly keen to see before the end of the campaign, email portsmouth@tifosy.com with your idea and what you would be willing to pay and we will see if we can make it happen for you.

Remember, every penny goes towards funding the two academy pitches, so whatever you can do to help will make a difference.
