Another incredible day of fanfunding at Fratton Park
It seems like it was only yesterday that we were hoping to break the £200,000 barrier in our campaign to fund permanent pitches for the Pompey Academy.
Hang on. It was only yesterday!
Yet here we are at more than £218,000. What a fantastic day it's been.
To think we started Thursday on £204,800! More than 300 donations, including a contribution of £2,239 from sales of the summer Sports Mail, has put the campaign into overdrive.
Thursday’s rate of donations has exceeded all previous records since the campaign began on June 10. At one point more than £1,000 was raised in just 45 minutes.
But it still needs everybody to help, either with donations or helping to spread the word.
A number of donations have come in from people not connected with the club, but who have seen or been told about the campaign and wanted to show solidarity with fellow fans.
So please keep tweeting, facebooking and talking to all your contacts and encourage them to get involved.
In order to try to fit in some great new auctions, which keep rolling in from generous fans, we're cutting short the deadline for the gourmet dinner with Johnny Ertl and his lovely wife, Selma, to midnight tonight. So if you were planning on making a bid, do it now!
