FANFUNDING CAMPAIGN PASSES £150,000

25 July 2014

Another milestone reached

It was an ambitious challenge.

To raise £250,000 in just 62 days in order to build two pitches for our academy to play and train on, using an innovative fanfunding scheme never tested in English football.

And yet, here we are having already raised £154,000 and with just 17 days remaining to raise less than £100,000 and reach the target.

They said it couldn't be done, but they hadn’t reckoned on the fantastic supporters that make Pompey the club that it is.

Blues chief executive Mark Catlin said: “Our supporters have been – are being – phenomenal in responding to our call to help us get the academy onto the same training campus as the first team squad.”

“It would be great when the team walks onto the pitch on August 16 before our first home league game with Cambridge to be able to congratulate our fantastic fans for realising a huge ambition for the club.”

With only 17 days remaining to raise close to £100,000 required to fund the project, we are launching a competition.

Anyone who contributes to our fanfunding campaign with Tifosy before 12pm on July 31 will be entered into a draw to win a hospitality package for four people for the friendly against Charlton on August 2.

This includes a two-course pre-match meal, matchday programme, team sheets and access to a cash bar, among other facilities.

To enter the draw and contribute to the Pompey Academy, please visit the official campaign page and make your contribution.
