Every game on radio and Pompey Player
Every Blues game this season – including pre-season friendlies – will be broadcast live on Pompey Player and also on the FM frequency in the Portsmouth area, in partnership with Express FM.
The agreement with Express to be the club’s official FM media partner for the 2014/15 campaign will start with a pre-season Football Hour tonight (6pm-7pm).
The show will be hosted by Dan Windle, who will be joined by Blues boss Andy Awford and chief executive Mark Catlin.
The Pompey Live match coverage starts at Westleigh Park on 93.7 FM from 2pm this Saturday, when Conference South side Havant & Waterlooville are the opponents for the first friendly of the summer (3pm kick-off).
The other friendlies at Bognor, Ebbsfleet, Thurrock and at home to Bournemouth and Charlton will also be broadcast live ahead of the big kick-off on Saturday, August 9, when Pompey travel to Exeter for the start of the League Two campaign.
The commentary team of Windle, Dave ‘Bunky’ Bowers and Pompey legend Alan Knight will be reunited to bring you every minute of every match live.
The coverage will also be broadcast on the Pompey Player platform, giving fans around the country and across the globe the chance to follow their favourite side.
The club are also offering a limited number of corporate sponsorship packages around the Pompey Live coverage.
Pompey chief executive Mark Catlin said: “We are delighted to renew our partnership with Express FM, who have been a stalwart supporter of the club for several years.
“A partnership between a community football club and community radio station is an obvious match and we look forward to deepening that relationship.
“This new deal effectively sees Pompey have access to the FM airwaves in and around Portsmouth for four hours every matchday, as well as having the opportunity to promote the club through other station programming.
“We are sure fans will appreciate the coverage again and I am also confident local businesses will be very interested in the corporate sponsorship packages we are offering for the coverage.”
Up to 30,000 people tune in regularly to Pompey Live coverage each game.
