CLUB
Hessle Sporting at under-8 level. We played six-a-side back then and when we moved to full-size games I played in the centre of midfield.
MATCH AS A FAN
I remember going to watch some Hull games when I was very young, but the earliest match that stands out was Manchester United against West Ham at Old Trafford. Hull were in the bottom league, so I supported United as well. I also had a good mate who was a Liverpool fan, so I watched a lot of their games too.
PROFESSIONAL GAME
That was for Hull against Macclesfield in the League Cup. We lost 2-0, but it was a proud day for me and I played pretty well.
FOOTBALL KIT
It was a Liverpool kit, with green and white squares that came in a box.
SINGLE
I don’t think I’ve ever bought a single on CD – I just download them. I think the first album I bought was probably one of the Now compilations.
FILM AT THE CINEMA
I remember going to watch something with my auntie and uncle, but I can’t remember what it was. I’m sure there was a gorilla in it, though.
CAR
A Fiat Punto that I wrote off after a month. Someone ran out in front of me – but it wasn’t my fault.
MEMORY OF WANTING TO BR A FOOTBALLER
I’ve always had a ball at my feet and dreamt of playing football. When I was a toddler I wanted to be a builder, but I’m not very good at DIY. Then when I got injured and was told that I might never play again, I thought about getting into management.
