RICKY HOLMES: MY FIRST...

16 June 2014

CLUB
Fairfax Rangers at under-6 level. I started off as a central midfielder and that’s where I stayed until I was about 16.

MATCH AS A FAN
It was Cambridge United against Southend when I was around eight. I can’t remember what the score was, although I think Southend lost.

PROFESSIONAL GAME
It was for Barnet at Chesterfield at their new stadium on the opening day of the season. I found out the day before that I was in the team and it was a proud moment for me.

FOOTBALL KIT
An Arsenal kit because that’s who I supported when I was growing up.

SINGLE
MMMBop by Hansen – it’s a classic!

FILM AT THE CINEMA
I remember watching Matilda when I was younger, although I’m not sure if it was the first film I ever saw.

CAR
I don’t drive – I prefer to be chauffeur driven!

MEMORY OF WANTING TO BE A FOOTBALLER
I was kicking a ball as soon as I was walking and it’s all I’ve ever wanted to do, although at times you think about if it doesn’t work out so I looked at becoming a fireman.
