A Summer To Remember

18 March 2014

Take part in the NCS programme

Are you aged 16 or 17 and looking for a fun experience this summer? If so, Pompey in the Community would like to offer you a place on their NCS programme.

NCS is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that allows you to meet new people, gain further skills and qualifications and have a whole lot of fun in the process.

The four-week programme consists of two residentials. The first week is packed full of outdoor activities – anything from canoeing to mountain biking and coasteering. Week two is based at Highbury College, where you will gain qualifications that you won’t have had the opportunity to experience at school or college.

Weeks three and four are a chance for you to go out into the community and deliver a project in the local area. You will be able to decide what you do and where you’ll do it! It can be anything from fundraising and awareness campaigns to volunteering and regeneration. The possibilities are endless and the ideas will all be your own.

Click here to find out more or enrol on this exciting programme or come along to our open evening on Wednesday, March 19 at the Pompey Study Centre in Anson Road (PO4 8TB). Drop in anytime between 5pm and 7pm to find out more.

The programme is funded through the Cabinet Office so there is only a nominal cost of £35 for participants to have an unforgettable experience.

Places are limited and filling up fast so get in touch.
