Keeper selected in Northern Ireland squad
Trevor Carson has been named in the Northern Ireland squad for friendlies against Uruguay and Chile.
The goalkeeper - who spent the 2013/14 season on loan at Pompey from Bury – has yet to win a senior cap for his country.
But the 25-year-old has played for both the under-21 and ‘B’ sides in the past.
Michael O’Neill’s side travel to Montevideo to face Uruguay on Friday, May 30 before facing Chile in Valparaiso on Wednesday, June 4.
