JED WALLACE: MY FIRST...

17 May 2014

CLUB
Darby Green Dynamoes. They were a local side who were run by one of my dad’s best mates. I joined when I was four and just used to run around everywhere – the same as I do now!

MATCH AS A FAN
It would have been Reading against West Brom. Reading won and Steve Sidwell scored. They were the biggest club local to me so I used to go there, but I’d also watch Basingstoke and Farnborough a lot with my uncle.

PROFESSIONAL GAME
That was against Plymouth in the cup at the start of last (2012/13) season. It was a disappointing result, but we played well and it was a proud day for me.

FOOTBALL KIT
It was a Reading one with Kitson on the back, so it was a bit strange that I ended up playing with him.

SINGLE
Uptown Girl by Westlife – what a worldy!

FILM AT THE CINEMA
It must have been a Disney film when I was young, but I can’t remember which one.

CAR
A Vauxhall Corsa. I got that when I passed my test and it’s served me well to be fair.

MEMORY OF WANTING TO BE A FOOTBALLER
It was when I used to watch Freddie Ljungberg. He had a cool red Mohawk and I wanted to be like him. I’ve never really wanted to do anything else.
