THE AWAY CONUNDRUM

21 November 2014

Hollands interview in Morecambe programme

Pompey will be delighted to be back at Fratton Park this weekend.

Andy Awford’s side face Morecmabe on the back of two bruising defeats at Plymouth and Aldershot.

Their record at home is impressive, however, with just one league defeat all season.

But Danny Hollands knows that the Blues need consistency if they want to climb the League Two table.

“We’re playing well at home and getting the right amount of points,” he says in the official matchday magazine for Saturday’s clash. “But we’re dropping a lot away and that could prove to be a big factor come the end of the campaign.

“It’s something we need to change – and fast. We know it’s something that needs to be addressed because the longer it goes on, the harder it becomes for us to turn things around.

“We’ve shown that we can perform on our travels – we did that at Oxford back at the start of the season.

“But there haven’t been enough displays like that and we need more if we want to move forward.”

To read the full interview – where Hollands also talks about his personal form – pick up a copy of the matchday magazine from programme sellers around Fratton Park.

You can also download it to read on your iPhone or iPad. Download the Matchday Digital app from the iTunes store, find the Pompey section and follow the instructions. Click here for more information.
