Fratton clash in second round
Pompey have been drawn at home to fellow League Two side Northampton Town in the second round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.The tie will be played at Fratton Park in the week beginning October 6.
The sides have never met in the competition, but have already clashed in the league this season.
Jed Wallace and Craig Westcarr were on target as the Cobblers were beaten 2-0 on the south coast last month.
There have been 28 meetings overall, with Pompey winning 15 and Northampton triumphing on six occasions.
The Blues reached the area quarter-finals of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy last term, while Town were knocked out at the first hurdle.
