MATCH PREVIEW: PLYMOUTH v POMPEY

14 August 2015

All you need to know about Argyle clash

Pompey face their first away match of the season this weekend after back-to-back victories at Fratton Park.

Paul Cook’s side make the trip to down to Devon to face a Plymouth side who lost to Wycombe in the play-offs last term.

They made a good start to the current campaign, with Gregg Wylde and Graham Carey on target in a 2-0 triumph at AFC Wimbledon.

But they were knocked out of the Capital One Cup during the week, as League One side Gillingham netted two late goals at Home Park.

Argyle are managed by former Ross County boss Derek Adams, who replaced John Sheridan in the hot-seat over the summer.

TEAM NEWS
Adam Barton and James Dunne will not feature for Pompey after only making their comebacks for the reserves during the week.

Kal Naismith (thigh) is doubtful, while Jack Whatmough (knee) is definitely sidelined.

Plymouth striker Jake Jervis will miss the chance to feature against his former side after suffering a groin injury.
