MATCH PREVIEW: POMPEY v DAG & RED

7 August 2015

All you need to know about Daggers clash

Paul Cook will lead Pompey in a competitive fixture for the first time when Dagenham & Redbridge visit Fratton Park on Saturday.

The sides finished just two points apart in last season’s League Two table, with the Londoners two places above the Blues in 14th.

Both clubs have been busy in the transfer market over the summer, with Cook bringing in 13 new players.

Wayne Burnett has acquired former Pompey loanees Nyron Nosworthy and Josh Passley, while Kane Ferdinand and Nicholas Hamalainen put pen to paper on Thursday.

There will be a minute’s applause before kick-off in memory of PST chairman Ken Malley, who sadly passed away in June.

TEAM NEWS
James Dunne (ankle) and Kal Naismith (thigh) both join long-term injury victim Jack Whatmough (knee) on the sidelines.

Summer signings Adam Barton and Adam McGurk could both feature, however, after recovering from knocks.

Frankie Raymond is a doubt for the visitors after hurting his knee.
