Back the Blues with Sky Bet
Pompey turn their attentions away from league action when they host Reading in the second round of the Capital One Cup on Tuesday evening.
The Championship side are unsurprisingly 11/8 favourites to win after 90 minutes with Sky Bet, with the Blues at 19/10 and the draw at 12/5.
If you simply want to bet on who will reach the next stage, then the odds are evens for Pompey and 8/11 for the Royals.
Of course, extra-time and penalties are an option and the Blues can be backed at 14/1 to triumph after 120 minutes and 10/1 to go through on spot-kicks.
Matt Tubbs leads the first goalscorer market at 5/1, although if Paul Cook makes significant changes to the side, other options might be more attractive.
Jayden Stockley, Conor Chaplin and Danny Hollands are all well priced to net the opening goal at 7/1, 8/1 and 14/1 respectively.
