POMPEY v ACCRINGTON: BETTING PREVIEW

3 December 2015

Back the Blues with Sky Bet

Pompey and Accrington will both be looking to join the big boys from the Premier League in the third round of the FA Cup when they meet at Fratton Park this weekend.

Paul Cook’s side are evens favourites to see off a Stanley side who sit one place above them in the League Two table.

The visitors can be backed at 13/5, while those who think a midweek trek to Lancashire will be required can get odds of 5/2 on the draw.

Marc McNulty leads the first goalscorer market at 4/1, with Conor Chaplin, Gareth Evans and Christian Burgess following on 11/2, 15/2 and 33/1 respectively.

If you think Pompey will breeze into the next round then 40/1 for a 4-0 triumph might look attractive.

But if you think it will be a lot closer, then 15/2 for a 2-1 victory might take your fancy instead.

Of course, the really optimistic among you might have one eye on the 500/1 available for the Blues lifting the trophy at Wembley in May.

Or if that seems a bit too far-fetched, then odds of 7/1 on Pompey being the League Two side to progress the furthest could tempt you.

Please note that odds are subject to change.
